Chivas booked their ticket straight to the Liguilla after defeating Atlas by a 1-0 score in the Clasico Tapatio. Chivas jumped from the Play In to the Liguilla after getting an away victory against Atlas and Pachuca only getting a tie against Mazatlan, that allowed them to leapfrog them for the 6th and final spot. Chivas is now set to play against Toluca in the Quarterfinals while Atlas season ended with a loss against their biggest rival.
The 1st half started with Chivas having the return of injury of Javier Hernandez although he would not be in the starting 11.
