When presented with the possibility of the Texans passing on a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick, Ryans responded by noting he "won't talk specifically about what we're doing with our plans for the draft. We'll evaluate. When it's our time to pick, we'll have to be ready to pick." He maintained a similar tone when posed with a hypothetical scenario in which the Texans make a trade for the Carolina Panthers' No. 1 pick in order to land their quarterback of choice.
"Again, I won't get into draft strategy and trades and all of those things," Ryans said.
